What Is an Industrial Dust Filter Bag and Why Custom Manufacturing Matters?
An industrial filter bag is the core filtration element that captures airborne dust or liquid particulates in manufacturing plants, releasing clean air safely while protecting process continuity. Adaptable to a wide range of industries, filter bags play a vital role in factory stability—efficient and reliable production depends directly on proper filtration.
Every baghouse (jet-pulse or mechanical shaker/pulse system) has specific tube-sheet hole diameters, cage lengths, operating temperatures, and dust loads. At our Gebze/Kocaeli workshop, Bilgin Filtre manufactures custom filter bags matched to your exact technical drawings or physical sample in any diameter, length, fabric weight, micron rating, and collar configuration.
Our Manufacturing Scope: Dry Filtration, Liquid Filtration & Wire Cages
1. Filter Bags for Dry Filtration
Using polyester (400, 500 gsm impregnated / non-impregnated), antistatic, Nomex, PP (polypropylene), polyamide, acrylic, polyimide, woven, cotton, and canvas filter media, we manufacture every type and size of filter bag for jet-pulse and shaker systems.
2. Filter Bags for Liquid Filtration
Our monofilament (10–600+ micron), polypropylene (1–100 micron), and polyester liquid filter bags are produced in various micron ratings with a standard 180 mm polypropylene ring or custom-diameter steel ring header. They can be washed with liquid/solvent and reused.
3. Filter Wire Cages & Installation
We manufacture filter wire cages in any required length and diameter and deliver them with a quality guarantee. Upon request, we also install the wire cages together with the filter bags into your system.

Filter Bag Media: Which Fabric Fits Which Process?
Selecting the right filter media depends on operating temperature, dust characteristics, moisture/liquid presence, and chemical exposure. Below are the primary fabrics processed in our workshop:
Polyester Fabric (400, 500 gsm Impregnated & Non-Impregnated)
Application: General industrial dust collection and jet-pulse / shaker filtration systems
Prepared in 400, 500 gsm and other weights, impregnated (moisture/repellent treated) or non-impregnated. Cost-effective and durable; suitable for continuous operating temperatures around 130–150°C.
Antistatic Filter Fabric
Application: Environments with combustible dust or static electricity risks such as wood, flour, coal, plastic, and metal/aluminum dust
Prevents static electricity buildup on the bag surface. Technical Note: Antistatic fabric alone does not make a system ATEX-compliant; the bag, cage, housing, and grounding must be evaluated as a complete system.
Nomex (Meta-Aramid) Fabric
Application: High-temperature flue gas, iron-steel, cement, and drying kiln processes
Preferred for demanding high-temperature operating environments around 200°C and above.
Acrylic, Polyamide & Polyimide Filter Media
Application: Dry filtration applications requiring specific chemical resistance, moisture tolerance, and thermal performance
When flue gas chemistry, humidity, and process temperatures are shared, we select and manufacture the optimal media type and dimensions.
Woven, Cotton & Canvas Fabrics
Application: Woodworking sawdust collection, pneumatic conveying, and custom-sized industrial bags
Prepared in our workshop in any required size, diameter, and cuff style for dry dust and sawdust collection units.
Polypropylene (PP) & Monofilament Fabrics (Liquid Filtration)
Application: Industrial liquid filtration, wastewater treatment, chemical, paint, and food processes
Polypropylene: 1 – 5 – 10 – 25 – 50 and 100 micron. Monofilament: 10 – 25 – 50 – 100 – 150 – 200 – 300 – 400 – 500 – 600+ micron options. Washable with liquid and solvent for repeated reuse.

How to Select the Right Filter Bag? Ordering & Sizing Guide
Five core engineering parameters we evaluate to manufacture filter bags that fit your dust collector or liquid housing:
| 1. Operating Temperature | 400/500 gsm polyester is used for medium temperatures (~130–150°C), while Nomex (meta-aramid) or polyimide is chosen for high-temperature processes (~200°C and above). |
|---|---|
| 2. Dust Characteristics & Static Risk | For combustible dusts (wood, flour, coal, grain, metal), antistatic filter media is evaluated to dissipate static charges. |
| 3. Moisture, Chemical Exposure & Micron Rating | Impregnated polyester or acrylic is suited for humid conditions; for liquid filtration, 1–100 micron polypropylene or 10–600 micron monofilament is selected by particle size. |
| 4. Cleaning System & Header Style | Depending on your jet-pulse or shaker tube-sheet design, we configure flexible snap-band, iron ring, single/double felt, steel ring, or 180 mm plastic collars. |
| 5. Existing Dimensions or Sample Duplication | Diameter, length, and collar style can be produced from technical drawings or duplicated directly from your existing used sample bag. |

Filter Wire Cage Manufacturing & On-Site Installation
In jet-pulse and baghouse systems, the filter wire cage prevents bag collapse during operation and pulse cleaning. We manufacture filter wire cages in any required length and diameter and deliver them with a guarantee. If requested, we also install the wire cages together with the filter bags into your system.
Washable Filter Bags for Liquid Filtration
Our monofilament, polypropylene, and polyester liquid filter bags are produced in various micron ratings (Polypropylene: 1–100 micron, Monofilament: 10–600+ micron) with a standard 180 mm polypropylene collar or custom-diameter steel ring header in any required length. After cleaning with liquid and solvent, they are ready for repeated use.
When Should Filter Bags Be Replaced?
Filter bag replacement should be based on system performance rather than a fixed calendar schedule. The most reliable indicator is when the differential pressure (dP) across the filter reaches the critical threshold defined by the system designer. Reduced airflow, lower suction power, or dust leakage on the clean-air side also signal the need for replacement. Dust load, humidity, temperature, gas chemistry, and operating hours directly affect bag service life.

Frequently Asked Questions (Custom Dust & Liquid Filter Bag Manufacturing)
What is a dust filter bag and what does it do?
A dust filter bag captures airborne dust particles generated in industrial plants and allows clean air to be discharged safely. It is used in jet-pulse and shaker/pulse baghouse systems.
Which filter fabrics do you use in manufacturing?
In our workshop we process 400 and 500 gsm impregnated/non-impregnated polyester, antistatic fabric, acrylic, Nomex (meta-aramid), polyamide, polyimide, woven fabric, cotton, polypropylene (PP), monofilament, and canvas for dry and liquid filtration.
What collar (header) types and dimensions do you produce?
We manufacture flexible snap-band headers, iron rings, single/double row felt seals, plastic collars (standard 180 mm or custom), and steel ring headers in any required diameter and length.
What micron ratings are available for liquid filter bags and are they washable?
Polypropylene bags are produced in 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 micron; monofilament bags in 10, 25, 50, 100, 150, 200, 300, 400, 500, and 600+ micron. Our monofilament, polypropylene, and polyester liquid bags can be washed with liquid/solvent and reused.
Do you manufacture filter wire cages and provide installation?
Yes. We manufacture guaranteed filter wire cages in any required length and diameter, and upon request we also install them together with the filter bags into your system.
Which fabric should I choose: Polyester, Nomex, or Antistatic?
Selection depends on operating temperature, dust type, and moisture/chemical exposure. Polyester is used for general applications (~130–150°C), Nomex for high temperatures (~200°C+), and antistatic fabric for combustible dust environments (wood, flour, coal, metal).
Does an antistatic filter bag eliminate explosion risk on its own?
No. Antistatic fabric reduces static buildup, but in explosive atmospheres (ATEX) the filter bag, wire cage, collector housing, and grounding must be evaluated together as a complete system.
When should filter bags be replaced?
Replacement should be determined by performance—specifically when differential pressure (dP) reaches critical levels or when airflow/suction drops.
Can you manufacture bags by duplicating an existing sample?
Yes. You can send us your existing filter bag or wire cage as a sample, and we will duplicate the exact diameter, length, fabric, and header style in our Gebze/Kocaeli workshop.
